US Fabricated Beams Final Imports

U.S. Fabricated Beam Final Imports: Fabricated beam final imports to the U.S. have been relatively flat over the past three months, coming in at 37,016 tons in November 2020.

Figure 1 breaks down total fabricated beam imports from January 2019 – November 2020. When looking at the current year, it shows that fabricated beam imports reached their peak August, at 51,924 tons.

Figure 2 also charts the largest exporting countries in rank order through November 2020. Canada was the largest exporter of fabricated beams with 15,888 tons this month (43%). Mexico was the second-largest exporter with 9,990 tons. Vietnam was the third-largest exporter of fabricated beams to the US with 2,274 tons. Together these three exporters accounted for 76% of total fabricated beam imports.

Figure 3 also charts the largest imports by district of entry to the US in rank order through November. The Laredo, TX port was the largest receiver of fabricated beams this month, receiving 6,696 tons. St. Albans, VT was the second-largest district of entry, coming in at 4,778 tons. Ogdensburg, NY was the third-highest receiver with 4,317 tons. Together these three districts of entry accounted for 43% of the total imports.
