US Fabricated Beams Final Imports

U.S. Fabricated Beams Final Imports: Fabricated beam final imports to the U.S. were down 28.5% YoY, and down 30.5% MoM in April 2020, coming in at 30,345 tons.

Figure 1 breaks down total final fabricated beam imports from January 2019 – April 2020.

 

Figure 2 also charts the largest exporting countries in rank order for January 2019 – April 2020. Mexico was the largest exporter of fabricated beams with 9,285 tons in April 2020. Canada was the second-largest exporter 9,099 with tons. Vietnam was the third-largest exporter of fabricated beams to the US with 2,299 tons. Together these three exporters accounted for 68% of total fabricated beam imports.

 

Figure 3 also charts the largest imports by district of entry to the US in rank order through April 2020. Laredo, TX port was the largest receiver of fabricated beams in April 2020, receiving 5,035 tons. St. Albans, VT was the second-largest district of entry receiver coming in at 3,725 tons. El Paso, TX was the third-highest receiver with 3,119 tons. Together these three districts of entry accounted for 40% of the total imports.
