U.S. Steel Beam Final Imports:
U.S. Steel Beam Final Imports: Final beam imports to the U.S. came in at 48,963 tons for July 2025, up 48% since last month. These include: Angles, Shapes and H Sections, Angles, Shapes and I Sections, Iron and Non-Alloy Steel Hot-rolled, and Other H Sections.
Figure 1 further breaks down total beam final imports from Jan 2024 – July 2025.
Figure 2 charts the largest exporting countries to the U.S. through July 2025.
- South Korea was the largest exporter of beams with 22,325 tons this month (46%).
- Luxembourg was the second-largest exporter with 8,978 tons.
- United Arab Emirates was third with 6,891 tons. Together these three exporters accounted for 77% of the total.
Figure 3 also charts the largest imports by district of entry to the U.S.
- Houston-Galveston, TX port was the largest receiver of beams this month, receiving 21,548 tons.
- Los Angeles, CA was the second-largest receiver coming in at 6,385 tons.
- Philadelphia, PA was the third-largest receiver coming in at 5,072 tons.
Together, these top three receiving ports collected 67% of all U.S. beam imports.
